CALL FOR ENTRIES
Sponsors:Watercolor East Texas and SFA Friends of the Arts.
Eligibility:Any water-media artist age 18 or older may enter 1-3 paintings.
Juror:Linda M. Carter
Linda M. Carter has been a professional artist since 1972. She was the Executive Director of the Art League of Houston from 1993 to 1999 and responsible for special events, gallery openings, seminars, galas, and retreats. Ms. Carter has exhibited her work in Texas, Colorado, Oklahoma, and California and has had many solo exhibitions across the state of Texas. She studied at the Glassell School of Art in Houston and with watercolorist Polly Hammett.

Entry Fee:
Non-members: $15 for 1-2 paintings, $20 for 3 paintings
WET members: $12 for 1-2 paintings, $15 for 3 paintings

Directions:
From Longview and Tyler, take 259 South to Bus. 59 South. Left on Main Street. The Cole Art Center is in the third block at the corner of Church and Main Streets.
From Lufkin, take 59 North to Nacogdoches. Turn right on Main Street. The Cole Art Center is in the third block at the corner of Church and Main Streets.
Sale:
Paintings may be priced for sale. Prospective buyers will telephone the artist. No painting may be removed before the pick-up time. Neither W.E.T. nor SFA will handle sales, but a 20% commission will be paid to W.E.T. by the selling artist.

Liability:
Reasonable Care will be given to artworks, but W.E.T. and SFA will not be responsible for damage or loss. Insurance is the artist’s responsibility. Submission of entries constitutes agreement to the conditions herein.
Specifications: Please read carefully
All entries must: (1) Consist of water-based media on paper, (2) be framed and ready to hang, (3) be framed under plexiglass if the painting is a half sheet or larger, (4) have a clean, plain white or off-white mat and, (5) be framed in a simple frame which is reinforced for hanging with wire in place.
The following entries are not eligible: (1) those prepared with supervision by another person, (2) those which substantially reproduce or copy a scene or subject previously painted by another person in substantially the same form, (3) those which duplicate or substantially reproduce a photograph or image displayed in any publication or copyrighted material (4) those previously entered in any WET exhibition or show, (5) those painted prior to January 1, 2007 and, (6) those of a size greater than 4’ x 4’, including frame.
